Requires skills and competency in light meal preparation and housekeeping.
Knowledgeable and competent in the following:
Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld at all times.
Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
Perform through cleaning duties such as: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, taking out trash and laundry duties as scheduled.
On the job training provided for:
Certified Dietary Aid Training
CPR and First Aid Training
12 hour shifts available
Preferred: Current CNA or CMT license
Requires skills and competency in medication administration by the following routes: oral, rectal, vaginal, otic, ophthalmic, nasal, topical, transdermal, buccal, sublingual, aerosol, nebulizer, and oral metered dose inhaler
Knowledgeable and competent in the following areas: residents rights; fundamental human body systems; common medical terminology and abbreviations; medications classifications and their implications; observing and reporting possible medication reactions; techniques of medication administration by all routes listed above; documentation, including telephone orders, medication administration records (MAR’s), and leaves of absence; acquiring, storing and securing medications; medication reference resources; and infection control.
